bio/resume

I’m an improviser, actress, and stand-up comic… pretty much in that order.

I’m an Air Force brat.

I love disaster films.

I studied acting at Northwestern University, just north of Chicago.  That’s where I fell in love with improvisation.  I took classes and performed at ImprovOlympic and then moved to Los Angeles to continue my training at the Groundlings Theater.  My work there culminated in a year-long stint in their Sunday Company.

I currently perform at IOWest.  My house team TROPHY WIFE plays on Wednesdays at 9 pm.  We were named by New York Magazine as the “improv team to watch!”  We’ve been together for six years (!) and  have performed to sold-out houses at the San Francisco and Phoenix improv festivals.

I also perform an Improvised Tennessee Williams with THE KIND STRANGERS on Friday nights at IOWest.  We’ve presented this show to standing ovations at the Los Angeles, Seattle, Austin, and Phoenix improv festivals.  We also improvise shows in the style of Greek Tragedy, Law & Order, The Western, and TV Medical Drama.

I just started doing stand-up comedy.  I love it.  I also recently booked a part in the Rob Riggle pilot HOME GAME and I’ll be starring in Hunter Phillips’ hilarious pilot presentation GYM RATZ.

Credits include over 55 national commercials, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, COMMUNITY, PERFECT COUPLES, LOVE BITES, THE MIDDLE, CSI: MIAMI, and more.

I live in Silver Lake with my screenwriter husband who refuses to put me in any of his movies.
