Hi, I’m Jill.

I write female-forward comedy grounded in character with a dark but optimistic sensibility (like me).

Most recently I’ve been co-showrunning the half-hour dark comedy I created, Sunshine Scouts, produced by Shonda Rhimes for Netflix. Sunshine Scouts follows a rag-tag group of girl scouts who survive the apocalypse and then set out to make sure all other survivors abide by the Sunshine Scout law.

Acting-wise, I recur as “Patrice” in Mike Judge’s acclaimed HBO series Silicon Valley. I also played Peggy’s secretary “Marsha” in the final season of Mad Men. Other recent notable TV: Modern Family, New Girl, American Horror Story, American Housewife, Angie Tribeca, and Aquarius. I regularly pop up in sketches on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

I’m an accomplished improviser: a Groundlings Sunday Company alumna and an original member of IOWest’s long-running main stage show Trophy Wife (named by New York Magazine as “the improv team to watch!”)

My favorite movie is DIE HARD.
